Am One Of The Best Lawmaker In Nigeria.
A world class surveyor turned lawmaker representing Ogun waterside State Constituency in the hallow chambers have described himself as one of the best lawmakers in Nigeria.
Responding to questions from a newshunt in his Oke Mosan Office Assembly complex, the outspoken lawmaker revealed his constituency projects, stating that he was not a bench warmer but had redefined good governance to his people.
Excerpts:
Q: During your electioneering campaigns you made several promises to the people, how have you gone towards actualising your promises for the people?
A: I will continue to give all the glory to God for giving me the priviledge to serve my people in the hallow chambers, I have made several attempts in the last twenty years so as to be elected as a lawmaker but God's time is the best.
I must specially recognize the inflicting support given to me by my leader Hon. Ladi Adebutu, because he was a personality that desire the growth of others in the society.
I am the chairman House committee on environment and Vice Chairman House Committee on Land and Housing and I have been able to use my good office to reposition my people for greatness, before my emergence as a lawmaker I have contributed towards the development of my constituency and I will not relent on my oars. For the purpose of this interview I will like to enumerate some of my programs which have direct impact on the people and this included, scholarship awards to over eight hundred students, free JAMB and GCE forms, twenty functional boreholes have been dig so far, free skill acquisition program , computer training centres among others.
The Governor of the state His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun has continued to extend maximum corporation to the legislative arm of the state while the leadership competence of the Right Honorable speaker Elemide also helped the state to flourish.
On this note, I will like to enjoin my constituent to give me a second mandate and I pledged to continue to strive and protect their interest in all ramifications through proactive legislative presentation and I will also endeavour to attract state government presence to my constituency.
Q: Baba Adebutu at 90, how do you feel with this development?
A: In Nigeria of today we have several trillionaires but only few see to the need of the less privileged forgetting that government cannot do it alone, if we have just twenty people like Baba Ijebu the poverty level in the country will be eradicated.
Baba Adebutu is an outstanding businessman that has passion for human development and he does not discriminate whether you are Christian, Muslim or Traditionalist, he built Churches, Mosque and even go a step further to build community projects like Town hall, Police Station, Health Center among others .
Baba Adebukola Adebutu is a blessing to the people and what we need to do is to continue to support him in prayers, at all time. I rejoice with him on his birthday anniversary and prayed that he will continue to succeed in life.
